[K-Drama Review] D-Day

I watched the trailer to this drama and saw the epic effects for a massive earthquake that hit Seoul and everything being destroyed and it drew me in. I know that would be awful in real life, but I like to watch movies about it. 

This is a medical drama, so all of you who can't stand blood, beware. 

The beggining was kinda boring, typical hospital and medical procedures. But I kept going because I wanted to watch the earthquake.. and I kept watching cus it wouldn't happen lol. Until it happened and was awesome, they really went all in for special effects. But after the earthquake the whole drama was pretty much just about rescuing people and save them. 

There are love lines between the doctors and nurses, and the director of the hospital is a real pain the ass, like he wants you to hate him with all your might. 

Despite the monotomy, it was still an ok drama to watch. I think the only thing that made it a better drama than it would be is the cool special effects.

[K-Drama Review] The girl who sees smells

Before watching this drama, I thought: well this sounds weird. And it is somewhat weird because it's like a super power; something we're not capable of. But it turned out to be very interesting and entertaining.

Oh Cho Rim suffered a car accident when she was running away from the man who killed her parents. After being in coma for a while, she wakes up without remembering anything, and with the ability to see smells. Apparently every smell has its own icon. How cool would it be if we could do that in real life?

She, then, meets Choi Moo Gak, a police detective who she will help on figuring out cases with her ability.

As always in korean dramas, they're obviously connected to each other. The murderer who killed her parents, also killed Moo Gak's sister by mistake because both of them had the same name.

This murderer kills people and cuts a bar code on their wrist. I won't explain why because that will be giving away too much of the story hehe. The whole drama basically goes around this Bar Code murder case.

It's a very entertaining and unique drama. Even if you think that police-detective theme might be boring, it's not. Because it's very intriguing the way Cho Rim solves the cases by following smells.

So I will give this drama:

[K-Drama Review] She Was Pretty (그녀는 예뻤다)

I watched this drama really fast! I guess that's what happens when a drama is good, you just can't stop watching it.

[K-Drama Review] The Producers

I was very hyped up to watch this drama because of the awesome cast; Kim Soo Hyun, Gong Hyo Jin, and even IU. 

The first episode disappointed me because I was expecting something else - more epic (like The man from the stars & Master’s sun). 

But eventually the drama started to grow on me and had a lot of funny and sad and angry moments. 

Basically, the drama is about producers (PD). lol Surprise! Everything happens at KBS, and they all become producers except for IU who’s a singer. They get in a love mix and match. 

Seung Chan (Kim Soo Hyun) and Joon Moo (Cha Tae Hyun) are producers of the KBS show called "2 days 1 night". Ye jin (Gong Hyo Jin) is the producer of "Music Bank", another KBS program. This whole drama is like a KBS commercial lol. 

Anyway, basically this drama portrays all the struggles that producers go through. It also shows how companies manipulate their artists (IU – Cindy story).

I will never forget Ye Jin's drunk 'aegyeo' hehe.

So even though it didn’t cause a big impact at the beginning, this drama ended up becoming quite entertaining :)

In the end, everything turned out fine and their complicated relationships became clearer.

[K-Drama Review] Shine or Go Crazy

I finished watching Shine or Go Crazy and let me tell you, I’m not sure what to say lol.

First of all, there’s too many people I hate in this drama! 24 episodes = 24 hours of hating people is very exhausting lol

[K-Drama Review] Persevere, Goo Hae Ra

(Spoiler Alert)
I gotta say I did not expect such a short drama (12 episodes) to be so full of story. If you like a lot of music in a drama then you will love this for sure. 

The drama is about a group of friends who auditioned for Superstar K but ended up getting tangled with lots of situations. Goo Hae Ra’s dad died and left her an unfinished song that Hae Ra wants to finish and show the world. After failing Superstar K, the group of friends who are now called Perseverance team do everything they can to become successful, which becomes very difficult since the CEO of a big company does everything he can to stop them. 

There are love triangles (or even squares lol) in this group of friends. Hae Ra gets herself in the middle of two childhood friends who happen to love her. Then one of them dies and a sudden twin was revealed which created quite a shock. Then there’s Woo Ri who likes Jang Goon but then Jang Goon ends up being homosexual and likes their “manager” Tae Poong. Sounds like a big mess but the drama is very good and fun to watch.

You will love some and hate some but at the end you will see their adventures to make their dreams come true.

Oh and did I mention there’s k-pop idols in the drama? ;)
